No, sometimes, a crossword is harmed by crummy fill or an abundance of nonsense abbreviations or numerous Naticks formed by crossing obscure words with other obscure words. They’re not always so obvious and clumsy, though. Good luck figuring out which across word is clued by “mesake of a ed ratio” or one of the many other mangled clues along the left-hand side of the puzzle. Look at it! They cropped all four sides of the puzzle in order to fit the available space. There are numerous ways people can transgress against the noble crossword, harming both the body and the spirit of the crossword itself.įor instance, check out this picture of a crossword from The Los Angeles Times, republished in a local newspaper, which was shared on reddit: You might think it’s over the top to shudder every time someone promises a crossword but publishes a crisscross instead.īut it’s true. “Crimes against crosswords? Isn’t that a bit dramatic?” Other than that though, simple, stable, easy to use.
#Vox crossword archive skin
Hi Daniel, still no tables? Having used the software for a few weeks, the lack of an ‘easy’ way to get the wordpress skin for preview and no tables are my biggest bugbears.

Hi ajea – it’s currently hand-done, though I’m hoping to support adding tables at some point.
#Vox crossword archive upgrade
Iain: it’s under the “MarsEdit” menu … of course it wasn’t added until version 1.1.3, so if you’re running an earlier version you’ll have to download and upgrade manually.ĭaniel, does MarsEdit handle tables or is it the ole hand done html? … I’m blind … where is “check for updates” located within the app? You’ve made another paying customer happy (if not cool) :-)
#Vox crossword archive update
)įantastic! Good that you managed to put in blogger picture support (even before 2.0)! Finally I’ll update my blog. Nice job! Even though I’m a TextMate-powered blogging man. I really like how much the program’s been evolving. (I’m probably an outlier, though.)īen: paying customers, definitely very, very cool in my book :) Fantastic release, congratulations :)īeing a paying customer of a programming badass such as yourself makes me feel correspondingly cool. Did you have insider knowledge about the new Santa Rosa’s today? I almost bought one, man, aren’t they great.

Note that Picasa only accepts JPG format images for upload. Just select your Blogger blog as the upload target from Images & Files, and MarsEdit will pop the images into a MarsEdit album in your Picasa Web Albums account.

MarsEdit now triggers Growl notifications after publishing, refreshing, and uploading an image or file. Three relatively big changes in this release: This is a free update for all registered MarsEdit users. MarsEdit 1.2 is now available for download (or just “Check for Updates” from the app).
